BMI

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a system that is regularly used when assessing what weight is correct for a person (also when assessing obesity and metabolism syndrome)

Calculating BMI is simple and anyone can calculate this according to the following formula:

 

BMI = BODY WEIGHT (kg) / HEIGHT (m2)

 

Table : Recommended BMI for women:

<19 Undernourished – danger of health problems
19 - 24 Normal weight – minimum risk of health problems
24 – 29 Overweight – increased risk of health problems
>30 Obesity – very high danger of health problems
